Sauvignon Blanc 'Maastricht'
This wine made from Sauvignon Blanc grapes has complex aromas. You recognize tropical fruit, gooseberry and passion fruit flavors. The wine has a balanced taste due to ripe fruit.
The fertile soil of Durbanville, the quality of the dry Sauvignon Blanc grape, relatively much rain, the warmer summer days and cooler nights all contribute to the quality of this wine from Maastricht. The grapes are harvested mechanically in the early morning, so that the grapes remain cool until they arrive in the cellar. After the grapes have been destemmed and crushed, the juice is in contact with the skins for 12 hours, after which the grapes are pressed. The fermentation of the wine takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 14-16 ºC. After fermentation, the wine is matured on the lie for at least two months to obtain additional complexity.
