Avondale Anima Chenin Blanc 2016
A very rich and honest Chenin Blanc. Lots of fruit in the scent such as gooseberry, quince and peach. The taste has the same fruity character, but is also very salty. A harmonious interplay with a beautiful minerality that gives this wine its name. A biodynamic wine.
Fantastic Chenin Blanc, full, creamy and candied fruit
Avondale is one of the oldest wineries in Paarl. Winemaker Jonathan Grieve makes wines using the natural eco-systems. The water of the Drakenstein mountain waterfalls cascades down over the vineyards and the ancient riverbed, where the winery and wine cellars are built over and around it. In the hot summer sun, this water provides natural cooling of the grapes.
